Transglobal Express III

This mix follows the arc of a typical transglobal express night at mano. Starting off with something to set the scene and clear the ears. I then make various forays towards dance floor action depending on who is around.Sometimes the response is really strong and at others it's like no one is listening. What I love is that the mood and energy can change from one moment to the next. The place tends to attract groups of travellers and most evenings are characterised by a group of columbians , say, a french contingent or some serious peruvians. This creates some space for japes, since no one can really tell how i feel about rod stewart.
The tracks here are mostly reissues on labels like Analog Africa, Soundways or African Pearls. I own most of it on vinyl. The first track is from the wonderful blog Awesome Tapes From Africa.
